Unbelievable! CodeWeavers, makers of the popular Wine spinoff Crossover, made a bet that George W. would not be capable of lowering the gas price below $2/gallon. If W. could prove them wrong, they'd give all their products away for free for one day. Well. the price of gas did drop below $2 yesterday, and so today you can get CrossOver Pro and CrossOver Games for Linux or Mac absolutely free of charge (normally each costs $40). Timing couldn't be more perfect for me, as I was seriously considering buying CrossOver Games just yesterday.
Anyway, I tried all morning to get through to their website, and they have now reduced their page to a light version due to the extremely heavy traffic. Anyway, everything is just as they say. The proof? There I am playing Trackmania Forever Nations on the Mac, with no Windows installed. So quick! Head over to CodeWeavers and grab your free copies! Seems like good ol' George W. did get one thing right...

Although I do not have the time right now to play around with the good stuff, I downloaded all the 4 files (2 dmg and 2 sh files) they offered. Is that enough to get it going or do I need to request a licence key via email???
Did you not sign up for a license? Then you won't be eligible for upgrades. By the way, you would have to decide on either the Linux or the Mac version: The license is valid for only one product. I hear that Crossover Games is included in Crossover Pro, so it's probably best to go for the Pro. You just have to decide on an OS.
